Our Story

Harbot Builders offers construction and building services for a wide range of commercial, retail and residential projects. We also have a team of specialist joinery craftsmen for listed buildings and churches. Established since 1985, our firm has continually expanded to reflect customer demand, progressing to large-scale projects for blue-chip companies across all areas of construction and industry sectors nationwide. Our longstanding client base includes leading automotive companies, such as Renault and Volvo Truck and Bus, colleges, real estate companies, property developers, chartered surveyors and architects.

As a family-owned business, we initially started out by working on smaller commercial and domestic projects. In 1986, we took on our first staff members and our first Leicester city premises was on Lothair Road back in 1988, which was an ex-ambulance repair centre. We then moved to Corporation Road, and in 1990, we opened our own specialist joinery shop. We completed our first ‘new build home’ in the early 90s, became a limited company in 2001, and continued to grow, relocating to Dover Street.

Due to the size of our commercial projects, we now operate from two sites totalling 4,000 sq. ft. You can find our current premises and main office on Carlisle Street, Leicester, and we also have an industrial unit to store our plant, kit and materials.
